Pewter Casting and Mould Making Course

Due to popular demand I am now running pewter casting and mould making courses once per month. This is a 3 day course and sometimes it is during the week but mostly on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The courses are held in our workshop in Dullstroom.

If you have 3 or more people interested in taking a course it may be possible for me to come to a location near you if you cannot all come to Dullstroom.

Pewter Casting Course

We will be holding another pewter casting course on 16, 18 and 19th of February 2011 at our workshops in Dulstroom, Mpumalanga. At the moment there is one place still available for anyone wanting to attend. There is still space available for anyone wishing to attend next weeks course from 28th to 30th January.

You will learn how to make your own moulds using RTV rubber, how to cast pewter into the moulds and final finishing of pewter "trinkets". At the end of the course you will be able to use the knowledge you have gained to continue to develop your hobby or to start a small business.

Pewter Casting Course

Our next pewter course will held at our workshops in Dullstroom from Wed 24th to Friday 26th November 2010. There are still spaces available. The cost of the course is R3000.00 You will learn how to make RTV silicon moulds, how to cast the pewter and the various polishing and patina techniques required to finish off your castings. Pewter casting workshop

I will be running a pewter casting workshop on the longweek-end in August, from Saturday 7 August to Monday 9 August. The 9 August is a public holiday. The course will be held at our workshop in Dullstroom, Mpumalanga, South Africa. There is space for 6 people available. You will learn how to make your own rubber moulds, the basics of pewter melting and casting, and the finishing and polishing of your cast pewter articles. The cost of the course is R 3000.00 and a 50% deposit will secure your booking. All materials will be provided including a workshop manual for future reference. The course times are as follows: Sat and Sun 9 am to 4pm, Monday 9 am to 1pm.

There is plenty of accomodation in Dullstroom from self-catering up to 5 star venues. This will be for your own account, but I can help you with the bookings.
